David Westen
Founder & Principal
David Westen is an expert in internet technology, user experience, and digital business strategy.
In 1999 David co-founded Internet Learning Corporation (ILC), a VC-backed
startup focusing on creative, customized corporate e-learning solutions, which was acquired in 2002 by
A.S.K. Learning. During his seven years as CTO of ILC/A.S.K., David oversaw the development and sales
of the company’s proprietary learning management system (LMS) platform, and led the development of
major e-learning initiatives for clients including Hewlett-Packard, Cisco Systems, Veritas, EMC,
Sony, Commonwealth Bank, and PriceWaterhouseCoopers. Prior to ILC, David headed Arch Pacific, a
web development agency focused on online business applications. David is a graduate of Stanford
University.

Steffan Schlarb
Creative Director
Steffan Schlarb is an award-winning creative director with extensive interactive design and
creative strategy experience.
Steffan began his career as an illustrator and designer. In 2000, Steffan was appointed Art
Director of the interactive department at Excite.com. In August 2002, he joined A.S.K. Learning,
a digital design agency that focused on interactive training solutions, where he became Creative
Director and expanded the firm's portfolio of services to include interactive marketing and
consumer experience consulting. Steffan has lead successful programs for such clients as Google,
Cisco Systems, Symantec, Salesforce.com, Genentech, Credit Suisse and Chevron.
Steffan attended Clark University, where he received a B.A. cum laude in
English Literature.

Stewart Maclennan
Digital Media Director
Stewart Maclennan is a new media guru who combines 12 years of web consulting experience with 9
years as a film writer, director, and producer.
Stewart’s work includes film production for theatrical and web distribution, interactive internet
campaigns, and design and branding solutions. Drawing on his dual interests, Stewart has worked with
companies such as Hewlett-Packard and Symantec to leverage new media strategies to accomplish their
business objectives. Prior to his work as a consultant, Stewart co-founded (with David Westen) Arch
Pacific, a web development agency with offices in the US and Japan.
Stewart graduated from Stanford University before attending the USC School
of Cinema-Television.

Cindy Phung
UX Producer
Cindy Phung is an Internet product manager and strategist with over 12 years of web design and
web development experience.
Combining a technical background with a passion for innovation, Cindy has worked with both large
enterprise companies such as World Savings & Loan and growing startups such as ResMAE, Sportgenic,
and Fixya to help launch successful new web-based products.
Cindy received her B.S. in Computer Science at San Francisco
State University.

Scott Lambridis
UX Producer
Scott Lambridis is a multi-disciplinary designer with a passion for bringing clarity to
complex problems. His combination of creative and technical experience has led to award-winning
work in a variety of industries, including tech, finance, and education, and most recently healthcare.
At Eveo, the #1 independent digital healthcare agency in the U.S., Scott established best-practices
for interactive program development, and provided interaction design, information architecture, and
user experience leadership for custom mobile, web, kiosk, and console applications for companies
such as Genetech, Novartis, and Amgen.
Scott received his B.A. in Neurobiology at University of Virginia, and his
M.F.A. in Creative Writing at San Francisco State University.

Scott Andreae
Visual Designer
Scott is an award-winning, multi-disciplined graphic designer with a reputation for creating
distinctive communications. His 14-year career includes a wide variety of work in both print and
pixels, and his designs have been featured in Print Magazine, In Style Magazine, and How Design
Books. Previous clients include IDEO, Urban Outfitters, the de Young Museum, Chronicle Books,
and Isaac Mizrahi.
Scott holds a B.F.A. from Rhode Island School of Design.

Jennie Bowers
Visual Designer
Jennie Bowers is an award-winning graphic and interactive designer. Jennie began her career at
Onvia.com, a provider of government-to-business solutions, before joining GameHouse.com as a member
of the design team that pioneered downloadable computer games. Next she led design at FarmsReach, a
startup that connects farmers directly to buyers.
Jennie received her B.A. in English Literature from Bryn Mawr College.

Amelia Petrovic
Associate Consultant
Amelia Petrovic is an award-winning communications consultant specializing in digital content strategy and public
relations. She has worked with a diverse roster of nonprofit, startup, and corporate clients to develop programs that
support at-risk youth, help small farms become profitable, and use games to teach kids how to code. Clients include BACR,
FarmsReach, Yale University, and Symantec.
Amelia graduated magna cum laude from UC Berkeley with a B.A. in History. This year she heads
for Milan where she will earn a Master's in Business Design at Domus Academy.
